Our History

Part of this community for nearly a century.

Atlas Butler was founded in 1921 by McGee Swepston and is still owned and operated by the Swepston family.

Since its early days of manufacturing and installing the Butler Furnace, Atlas Butler has evolved into one of the largest and most respected heating, ventilating and air conditioning companies in Ohio.

The Swepston family's third generation leader, Mark Swepston, guides Atlas Butler for the present day and into the future.

Mark continues to uphold Atlas Butler's commitment to community and service. Mark serves on the board of the Salvation Army and Mt. Carmel Health. He is the immediate past president of Kiwanis Club of Columbus.
